is spring practice allowed in VA

Just down US 23 a few miles is the TN line and they have spring football. I figure that it isnt allowed in VA, but im not 100% sure that it isnt. So is spring football allowed in VA or not? If so, why dont any schools around here have it?

depends. VHSL passed changed their rule last year to allow virtual year-round practice of any sport (except on Sundays and the 1st 10 days of the other 2 seasons, plus the natoinal 10 Summer days). Each Region then could add more restrictions.
As for "pure" fb practice... won't see it... too many small schools. If they fb guys were tied iup some baseball teams wouldn't exist. And track/field is better, too.

The VHSL changed the rules back in august. After August 1st 2011 you can practice any sport all year around, but there is some red tape, you cant really have full out practices all the time, there are some dead periods and stuff like that. I dont really know the details but its not like in TN. We cant have spring games or anything still
